Such production company Film R&K and Muje Publishing joined forces to release a screenplay book. It’s the screenplay book for ‘Pretty Crazy,’ the new film by director Lee Sang-geun who made EXIT. Among the three Korean films released this summer, ‘Pretty Crazy’ is the only one that is director Lee Sang-geun’s original story without source material. This means the story can only be seen in theaters and through the screenplay book. <\/p>

Kang Hye-jung, CEO of Film R&K who planned the film and screenplay book, said in an interview:<\/p>

“…We received notice from the company originally planning to produce the screenplay book that they couldn’t do it, so I called actor Park Jeong-min, who runs Muje Publishing, and asked, ‘CEO, please help us.’ I handed over all the materials we had gathered to make the screenplay book, but I didn’t have high expectations since there seemed to be no time to work on it. However, the quality was better than ever, and I was grateful because I could feel that Park Jeong-min put his heart into making this screenplay book. I also thought the tone of this film matched well with Park Jeong-min, who likes small, trivial, but cute and precious things. Since I felt the screenplay book would make people more curious about the film, we unusually started sales the day before the press and distribution screening. Thanks to Park Jeong-min, the initial batch sold out. It was truly invaluable help.”<\/p>

Park Jeong-min said: “Around late June, the CEO of film company Film R&K called me. ‘I want to make a screenplay book for Pretty Crazy. I’d like Muje Publishing to do it. Could it be ready around late July?’ That’s how the ‘Pretty Crazy’ screenplay book began. This is how we came to make this proper screenplay book,” he said. <\/p>
